It looks as though my visit will have to be in August, which I regret very much as it means that you will not be at home.
I still hope very much that another occasion will arise and I shall have the pleasure of seeing you either in France or in Belgium.
Sincerely yours,
Andrew

My Favourite Fairy Tale
My name is Christine. I'm fifteen years old. I would like to tell you about my favourite fairy tale of childhood.
Books have always interested and attracted me.
She normally told me some popular fairy tales, including Cinderella, Masha and the Bear, Beauty and the Beast.
My favourite book was about Alice in Wonderland, which was written by a well-known English writer Lewis Carroll
Lewis Carroll
.
Alice, who falls down a rabbit hole and meets lots of strange creatures there.
I liked every moment of this tale, for example, when Alice drinks the magic syrup and becomes small enough to sneak into an attractive garden. Later, she eats a piece of cookie and becomes of a tremendous size. She cries so much that her tears flood the hallway. When she becomes small again, she has to swim through her own tears. The tale is full of such abstract incidents, but they are setting wonderful atmosphere.
During her trip Alice meets many friends in this imaginary world. One of them is the White Rabbit

Hatter and the March Hare. They seemed to be having such a good time. Perhaps, the worst character of the fairy tale is the Queen of Hearts.
She nearly killed Alice for being disobedient. Each time I heard this tale, I imagined being in this fantasy world and walking the same routes Alice did.

My Favourite Country My name is Maria. I'm fifteen years old.
My favourite country is Russia.
Russia is biggest country in the world. Its territory is so vast that it borders on 18 countries.
Moscow is the capital of Russian Federation
Russian Federation
. It is a modern cosmopolitan city with plenty of historical and architectural sights. My most favourite city in Russia is Saint Petersburg.
Northern Capital.
What I like the most about our country is the wide range of opportunities it offers. If you like subtropical climate, you can visit the Black Sea in Sochi, which is in Krasnodar region. If you like cold and snowy weather, you can visit renowned Siberia.
Russian winters are usually cold. The coldest months are December and January.
It has undergone several long-lasting stages of development. For example, at first it was inhabited by the Slavic tribes.
Grand Duchy of Moscow. Then, there were the Tsardom of Russia, the Imperial Russia, the Soviet Union and, finally, the Russian Federation
Russian Federation
- the country we live in today.
Speaking about the cultural side of Russia may be noted Russian literature. There were so many well-known poets and writers in Russia, including Pushkin, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, Lermontov, Tsvetaeva. Russian architecture is also remarkable. It has a distinct style, which can be seen in Orthodox cathedrals and numerous Kremlins.
National symbols of Russian Federation
Russian Federation

My Favourite Weather
My name is Marta. I'm sixteen years old. I would like to tell you about my favourite weather.
There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season brings its weather. For example, in summer
We often go to the Spain at this time of the year.
The weather in autumn turns cooler and often windy and rainy. I like watching how red and yellow leaves fall down from trees and cover the ground. Winter in my region is rather cold. It snows a lot and the average temperature is about 20 degrees below zero. The first part of spring is still chilly. However starting from the middle of April it gets warmer. I like all seasons and all kinds of weather. I can find an interesting pastime at any weather condition.
In summer I go swimming in the river Volga. In autumn I prefer spending time at home. I read books, do my homework, do some knitting and invite friends over. In winter I go skiing and sledding.
However, my favourite weather is 20 or 25 degrees above zero.
Most of all seasons I like summer. There are many reasons for that.
Starting from June I know that I have three months ahead to do whatever I like.
Sometimes I go swimming with my friends in the nearest lake. At other times my parents and I go to the seaside. Apart from swimming, I play lots of outdoor games with my peers. We play volleyball, ping-pong, hide-and-seek, etc.
One or two time a week I visit my grandparents, who live in the countryside.
The air is also much cleaner than in the city. I have a couple of friends there, who are happy to see me. I usually stay for a couple of days to help my grandparents with their garden and to spend enough time playing, swimming and horse riding.

My Favourite Profession
My name is Vladimir. I'm sixteen years old. I would like to tell you about my favourite profession.
As a child, each of us wants to become a programmer, an acrobat, an animal trainer or a chauffeur. Whenever we visit the zoo, we want to become zookeepers. When we go to the circus, we imagine ourselves being animal trainers or acrobats. When we visit the amusement park, we want to become ice cream seller. However, when we grow up, our plans rapidly change.
My choice has been influenced by several factors.
profession. My grandfather was also a programmer and he seemed to like his profession very much.
Mathematics, at computer and a logic. I really like inventing and constructing various objects, so this skill might help to succeed in my favourite profession.
But when I think of programming, I forget about the difficulties. In my opinion, being a good programmer one should combine the following traits: Mathematics, theoretical knowledge, experience and constant development. The last condition is especially important, because when the programmer stops learning about new construction techniques, his works become old-fashioned and uninteresting.
Another advantage of this profession is its significance for the society.
However, in my free time I will still programming or create some presentations.
